Who we are

Legends & Lore Publishing (the "Store," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Legends and Lore Publishing LLC, an independent book publisher. You can reach us at shop@legendsandlorepublishing.com. By visiting shop.legendsandlorepublishing.com or buying from us, you ("you" or "the customer") agree to these Terms of Service.

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms apply to every visitor and customer of the Store. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Store or purchase our products. We may update these Terms from time to time (see Changes to these Terms below); your continued use of the Store after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

What we sell

We sell digital products — primarily ebooks, and where offered, audiobooks and digital bundles. Some titles are offered as pre-orders before their release date (see Pre-orders below). Our products are delivered electronically; we do not ship physical goods through this Store unless a listing expressly states otherwise.

Your license to use our books

When you buy a digital book from us, you are buying a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to read and enjoy that book for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may keep personal backup copies for your own devices.

You may not: resell, rent, sub-license, or redistribute the file; share, upload, post, or otherwise make the file available to others or to any public or file-sharing service; remove, alter, or circumvent any watermark, rights management, or identifying information; or use the work to train, fine-tune, or develop any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model or dataset. You do not acquire any ownership of the book itself or its contents.

Intellectual property

All books, text, cover art, images, logos, and other content sold or displayed by the Store are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and remain the property of Legends and Lore Publishing LLC, its authors, or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited reading license above.

Pre-orders

Some titles may be sold as pre-orders before the book is released. For pre-orders: payment is taken at the time of purchase; the book is delivered on or shortly after its stated release date; and release dates are estimates and may change. If a release date moves significantly, you may request a refund of a pre-ordered title at any time before it is delivered (see the Refund & Returns Policy).

Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in U.S. Dollars (USD) and may change at any time. Payments are processed by our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and its third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase where required by law.

Accounts

If the Store offers customer accounts, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at shop@legendsandlorepublishing.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Store for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Store or its systems, not to interfere with its normal operation, and not to infringe the rights of Legends and Lore Publishing LLC or any third party.

Disclaimers

The Store and our products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the Store will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any file will be compatible with every device or reading application. This section does not exclude any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legends and Lore Publishing LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Store or our products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted at shop.legendsandlorepublishing.com with its effective date. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
