Who is responsible for your data

Legends and Lore Publishing LLC ("we," "us," "our") is the data controller for personal information collected through shop.legendsandlorepublishing.com. What information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, billing and (if applicable) delivery details, and the contents of any message you send us.

Information collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, and similar usage data, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).

Information from third parties: order and payment-confirmation data from our payment processor, and delivery-status data from our book-delivery provider (BookFunnel).

We do not collect or store your full payment card number; that is handled by our payment processor.

How we use your information

We use your information to: process and fulfill your orders; deliver your digital books and provide customer support; send you transactional messages about your purchases; send you marketing emails only where you have opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; comply with our legal and tax obligations; and understand and improve the Store.

Our legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to process and deliver your order); consent (for optional marketing email and non-essential cookies — you may withdraw consent at any time); legal obligation (for tax and accounting records); and legitimate interests (to secure the Store, prevent fraud, and improve our service), balanced against your rights.

Cookies

The Store uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are needed for the Store and checkout to function. Analytics and marketing cookies are optional and used only with your consent. You can manage or refuse non-essential cookies through the Store's cookie banner or your browser settings; refusing them will not stop you from buying.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Store, and only as needed:

• Shopify — our e-commerce platform and store host.
• Our payment processor(s) — to take payment securely.
• BookFunnel — to deliver your purchased books by email link.
• Our email provider — to send transactional and opted-in marketing email.
• Analytics providers — to understand Store usage (with consent).

We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

International data transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EU/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your information

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet tax and legal requirements (commonly several years). Marketing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. EU/UK customers also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection supervisory authority.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, and rely on the security of established providers such as Shopify, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the relevant authority of any breach as required by law.

Children's privacy

The Store is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or the minimum age set by your local law). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at shop.legendsandlorepublishing.com with its effective date.
